God’s heart toward those who mourn.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Review and Application

Jesus’ 2nd statement from the sermon on the mount was addressing those who mourn. God’s heart has always been toward the hurting. For me, the first thing to learn is that God is there in times of mourning. He’s always there. He loves us and we see him later down the road weeping with those who are mourning. Maybe at this time you’re not in a place of mourning but know someone you know (or don’t know) is. Follow Jesus example and have a heart to comfort those who are mourning. What a great way to follow the ways of Jesus and be a light to those around us – to be willing to be in the trenches with someone else.
