Truth: Jesus can control the weather, and maintains control even in our circumstances.
A lot of things can trigger fear in us. In this case it was a storm on the sea. The disciples in their distress from the waves and the storm called out to Jesus, “save us Lord; we are perishing”. They didn’t quite understand they had the author of life in their boat. They had the one through whom God created all things, riding in their boat.
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16
Would have you been fearful if you knew the author of life was in your boat?
Is he in your boat?
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.“ ~ Jesus [ref John 16:33]
