His Love Never Ceases

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. 26  It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. (Lamentations 3:22-26)

A message to the Christian, and a message to myself:

As a believer we can chew on the truth contained within this scripture all day. To know with certainty that our God’s love doesn’t cease and his mercies are new every morning, what a blessing! The Lord is good and great is his faithfulness toward us. He is worthy of placing our hope in, he is a solid foundation. He is coming back, and we who have placed our hope in him for salvation, we ought to live in the blessing of knowing that day will come; for he is faithful. Yes, there will be a day when he brings us into his presence and into our forever home. A place where every tear is wiped away. And until that day comes may we fully embrace the truth that our God is with us, even now. Life here is like a mist, here today, and gone tomorrow. Enjoy this life which you have been given, as you journey forward, trusting in God and knowing he is with you always. As the evangelist Ray Comfort says, if you jump out of a plane 10,000 feet up, don’t flap your arms, trust the parachute.

Trust in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, not in your good works for salvation. If he has given you a heart to love him, he will finish that work, he will bring you home. Trust him for his salvation, his love and grace toward you. Trust him for his faithfulness and his mercy. Trust him for his unceasing love. Consider how often he tells us of his love, grace and mercy in scripture. Let us believe him at his word. Let us first settle what’s true, and set aside the other voices saying other things. Upon settling it in your heart that God is for you and he loves you, with an everlasting love, let us continue allowing the truth of God’s love to grow in our hearts and minds until it spills out into the lives of others. Give the Holy Spirit full access to your heart and mind, as you trust God’s word through study, prayer and life; that you may know the depth of God’s love for you.

Trust God with You. GOD LOVES YOU.
