Matthew 4:23-24
Review and Application:
First and foremost, I begin by acknowledging Jesus for who he is. I consider how awesome that experience must have been to listen to Jesus preach and to witness him heal every disease. He is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He didn’t spread his own fame, yet it was spread by witnesses to the things he was saying and doing. God is a reality and Jesus is Lord.
When I read the gospels I see a couple things happening as he taught his disciples. Jesus taught them commands they should follow, which basically came down to the loving God and loving others. He then would send them out to do the works that he was doing in order to spread the gospel.
Therefore, as a Disciple of Jesus, may I teach and proclaim so HIS fame may spread and people believe. When I pray for the sick and afflicted may it be done in such a way that HIS fame spreads and people believe.
