Thoughts:
Those who receive Christ Jesus receive God the Father. And He, Jesus, is the only way to the Father.
Who was Jesus talking to? The 12 Disciples. (See Matthew 11:1)
Anyone who has read their gospel accounts has opportunity to receive their testimony. And those who do receive their testimony also receive Jesus and receive the Father.
