Review and Application:
Devil’s last attempt, in Matthew 4, was to get Jesus to worship him. The devil used the fruit of riches, wealth, worldly power and pride. (See Matthew 4:8-9). Can anything in this world be offered to you in exchange for your devotion to Christ? If anything were to ever entice you to take your eyes off of Jesus, may your next statement be…“Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.”
Nothing can ever compare to the love God has shown you through Jesus Christ our Lord. Never forget what he has done for you then, and what he has done for you in your life. God is good!
