“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8 ESV
Jesus loves us from a pure heart. His heart is perfect toward us. His heart is pure in every way. The only way we can have a pure heart is by allowing our hearts to be renewed by him through the Holy Spirit. It is a blessing to be able to receive a pure and renewed heart from the Lord.
Our hearts start out evil and desperately wicked, not to be trusted. A regenerate heart is a work of God through the Spirit.
Lord purify my heart that I might see you. Can you see God in every day situations? How about special situations? When you give from a pure heart to the poor, can you see God at work.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
