What is your life?

”yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.“
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Here are just some open thoughts, feel free to comment. God bless you.

You are here now, but life is a vapor. What are you living for? Who are you living for? Knowing God’s eternal plan and the short amount of time we all have – what truly matters? Things that collect rust? How about your pride and your reputation? You are a mist. Is a mist overly sensitive to what you or I think? Is it living out its short existence to please you? If life here is short, but life is eternal, what is worth your attention? Things temporal or things eternal?

If today was your last day on earth but your first day of millions to be lived in Heaven, what mattered last week? What didn’t? What matters today? What doesn’t? May God help us live for what matters. May we live in a place of embracing his peace and grace as we remain in constant connection with him through prayer. Following Jesus and loving our neighbor. May we live for things eternal with our minds set on things above – with our minds set on Christ. Praise God for eternal life.
