“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.” Matthew 13:16-17 NLT
Though the disciples didn’t initially understand the parable, Jesus tells them blessed are you eyes because they see. They had a desire to learn from Jesus. Some have a desire to avoid Jesus. It’s within the freewill given to each person to consider what Jesus has to say or avoid him altogether.
But everyone reading this should know that God has taken a step toward you through the cross of Christ. He has drawn you to know him. Will you have eyes to see and ears to hear what Jesus has to say? By grace he has drawn all to know him.
John 12:32 says this: “And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself”
Yes, he has drawn you too!
Love that, John 12:32
Thank-you Jesus, help my heart always stay true to you.
